Employer Responsibilities
|
- To provide a safe working environment and sharing expertise for all OYAP students
- Having a qualified journey person on site to direct and guide student learning
- To ensure that the Training Standards are introduced during the placement
- Signing off the competencies in the student's Training Standard Manual as they are met
- Work with the student's co-op teacher to ensure all procedures are correctly followed and contacting the school to resolve any issues that may arise
- Endeavouring to employ the student to the completion of his/her apprenticeship providing that the student has proven themselves, is apprenticed, and continues to meet the employer's expectations at the work site
